Dear Emek Families,

We’re thrilled to welcome you back – and invite new families to join the Viking family at Nordic Soccer! For those unfamiliar with us, we are Nordic Soccer, a program built on passion, skill-building, and community. Nearly four years ago, we started our first Emek soccer group on Sunday mornings at Genesta Park in Encino. What began as a single group quickly grew, and since then, we’ve had the privilege of working with over 150 different Emek kids across all age groups – from toddlers to 7th graders.

Our bond with Emek runs deep. Emek has been there for us from the very beginning, and in return, we’ve shaped our program around the community’s values, respecting Jewish holidays and adjusting our schedule to accommodate observances. We even started our own league on Sundays, giving Shabbat observers a chance to play competitively. Many of the same children who joined us years ago are still with us today, and through countless summers at camp, birthday celebrations, and games against other teams and schools, we’ve built a true family – friends and allies who share in the joy of the game.

This season is especially exciting for us, as we launch our first season right here on the Emek campus. Creating accessible, high-quality soccer for Emek families has been a long-standing goal, and while we now run programs at six other schools, this partnership with Emek is uniquely meaningful because of the bonds we’ve developed with your children and families.

We’re beyond excited to kick off a new season with you. Our focus goes beyond just soccer – we’re here to instill teamwork, resilience, respect, discipline, and a lifelong love for the sport.

Program Details
Classes are 75 minutes each, from 4:00 to 5:15 PM. We’ll handle pickups and ensure each child is safely returned to the carpool area after practice.
